DEITIES SERIES
“ Tlaloc. ”
DEITIES / Mythological entities.
Mood / I have always believed that the entire cosmogony can be explained in some way through mythology, but the more I research, the more I am convinced that many of these gods are technologies that our ancestors interpreted as divinity.
This work is part of a series of reinterpretations of mythological entities from a contemporary perspective. This is how I imagine Tlaloc, the Mexica deity associated with rain, lightning, and fertility, but also with the dreaded Tlalocan: a posthuman world linked to water where only certain souls could enter.
What if Tlaloc were not a god… but a planetary operating system? An entity that regulates the frequency of water on Earth, connected to a bioelectromagnetic network. His mask is not an ornament: it is an interface. His eyes are portals. The lightning bolts are discharges from an advanced atmospheric control system.
Tlaloc also appears in other cultures. From Scandinavian thunder gods to Chinese entities such as the Rain Dragon. All different. All similar. What if they were not isolated deities, but stations distributed across planetary nodes? What if Tlaloc was part of a network?
The glitch is not an error. It is re-uploaded memory. A sign that something ancestral is trying to reconnect.
